 Insulin Options

  • Rapid-acting: Works very fast. Examples: Insulin aspart (NovoLog), Insulin lispro (Humalog).

  • Short-acting: Regular insulin.

  • Intermediate-acting: Lasts part of the day. Example: NPH.

  • Long-acting: Controls blood sugar for 24 hours. Examples: Insulin glargine (Lantus, Langlara), Insulin icodec (Awiqli)
