Our Locoregional Therapies (LRTs) Department performs minimally invasive, image - guided procedures used to treat localized cancers, primarily liver cancers (HCC) and liver metastases and others cancers by delivering targeted destruction directly to the tumor. Our Therapies include Ablation (Radiofrequency, Microwave, Cryoablation) and Embolization (TAE, TACE, TARE/Yttrium - 90). These researches aim to treat unresectable Tumors

Ablation Therapies:
Destroys tumor tissue using heat or cold under imaging guidance.

Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA):
Considered first-line for early-stage HCC (single <2cm).

Microwave Ablation (MWA):
Uses high-frequency electromagnetic waves, useful for larger tumors (up to 3-5 cm).

Cryoablation/Alcohol Injection:
Freezing (using argon-helium) or chemical ablation.

Embolization Techniques:
Cuts off the blood supply to the tumor via a catheter, often delivering therapeutic agents.

Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE):
Infuses chemotherapy directly into the tumor feeding artery.

Transarterial Radioembolization (TARE/Y-90):
Uses radioactive microspheres (Yttrium-90) for higher radiation doses.

Bland Embolization:
Blocks blood supply without chemical agents
